The students’ protest is still continuing after the death of three students in the coaching centre accident in Old Rajendra Nagar. On Wednesday, the police stopped some protesting students some distance away from the coaching centre. During this time, the students continued to raise slogans against the MCD and the coaching centre. During the protest, the students also raised slogans of Delhi Police I love you, so that the police would allow them to go to the main protest site.
On Wednesday, the condition of one of the protesting students deteriorated, after which the police took the student from the protest site to the hospital. Narrating their ordeal, the students said that for the past several years they have been paying the demanded fees and rented room. They are also charged a hefty fee for the library. This also puts a financial burden on them. The students said that since there is no control on the coaching institutes, they hike the fees even in the middle of the year, due to which they are doubly hit. The institute does not provide anything in the name of facilities.
It is noteworthy that after the incident at Rao IAS Study Centre, protests by candidates, politics, action on the library built in the basement have been seen in Delhi. Candidates are continuously protesting. Students preparing for UPSC exam in Mukherjee Nagar area of Delhi have opened a front against Drishti IAS Coaching Institute. They protested saying that there is lack of security in the institute.
Let us tell you that two girl students and one boy student died due to water logging in the basement library of Rao IAS Study Center which prepares students for civil services. Due to heavy rains, the main road got flooded and due to the low floor, the basement of the center located in Old Rajendra Nagar got flooded. The competitive students studying there started running through the stairs to save their lives. During this, four-five students got trapped. Three of them died. One student was identified as Tanya from Telangana.
